Earth Balance Boxed Mac ‘n Cheese

First off, let me just say: This is not a sponsored post. I didn’t receive any free product, or even a pat on the back. I’m sharing this because I think IT’S SO FREAKING GOOD and I want to make sure you all know about it!

I’ve only tried the cheddar so far (pictured), and loved it. I’ve actually had it twice, but still really want to try the white cheddar kind. It’s so nice to be able to keep a box of this in the pantry for a quick meal. You prepare it exactly as you used to with that non-vegan stuff in the blue box. You cook the pasta then mix milk and butter in with the packet of powdered cheese. Easy! And while they are pricier than the non-vegan kinds, they’re still reasonable: $3.99 at my local Whole Foods. Totally worth it. It’s creamy and the flavor tastes exactly like the stuff I used to make after school.

And on that note, I’m leaving you guys for a few days. I’m going to Grand Junction for work, then I’m off to NH to visit my Mama… But I’ll be back next week!

We just made this last night, too! YES! It was awesome!!!!!!!!! (No one paid me to say that. 🙂 ) It is really awesome and so easy to make! And – ahem – good luck keeping a box in the pantry. I predict it will disappear fast.

I’ve tried both the cheddar and the white cheddar. They both rock!

I’m looking forward to trying the white cheddar. Seems like it would be good with veggies in it!

Wow, your Whole Foods is expensive! Mine has it for $2.99 a box. I bought 2 boxes of the cheddar for my family. Looks wise, it brought me back to my childhood days. I didn’t think it was cheesy enough though, or bright orange enough, lol! I added extra nooch to mine. For me, it was just O.K. I don’t think I’ll purchase it again, although I may try the white cheddar at some point. I figure I’ll just continue on my quest to find the perfect man and cheese recipe instead. Have a great trip! 🙂

I’m jealous! My friend Lauren just texted me that it’s $2.99 in Colorado Springs too, so maybe it’s just that expensive in Denver..?

I bought two boxes of each and am going to try the cheddar this weekend! 🙂

I really think you’ll like it!

Oh my gosh, yes…this stuff is like vegan crack. I’ve tried the white cheddar version and LOVED it. I wish other stores besides Whole Foods carried it (I also paid $2.99 for it up here in Fort Collins) because I usually shop at Vitamin Cottage. I also picked up some Earth Balance cheddar squares that are super addicting too!

    I love this stuff!

Um, I’m going the unpopular route here, but I tried the white cheddar one and just thought it was meh. Maybe my taste buds were off that day, I don’t know. I still have to try the regular cheddar one. I did like how creamy it was, compared to other vegan boxed mnc brands I’ve tried. I love everything else EB has come out with recently, so I hope it was just a fluke!

I am always looking for ways to get more vegetables in my husband. If my mac and cheese loving man likes it, I will make the switch.
